Donovan Philips Leitch (born May 10, in Maryhill, Glasgow), better known as simply Donovan, is a Scottish singer, songwriter, and musician. Originally a '60s folk singer, as the decade progressed Donovan cultivated his own unique eclectic sound, mixing elements of folk, pop, jazz, world music and more, often with a twinge of psychedelia.

's '7-Tease' is one of the most lesser known albums from Donovan Leitch's canon. It flopped in stupendous fashion, and really, although his last few records had also failed to set both the UK and American charts alight, this marked the beginning of the master Scottish poet's time in the wilderness/5(10).

I bought 7 Tease as an LP when it was first released in the 70s. My cousin said this was Donovan trying to make a comeback in those days. It's VERY Nashville slick, but I still get a kick out of it. Especially "Rock And Roll Souljer" which I think he used to open his concerts with to promote this album. It didn't produce a comeback for him.
